About Us

We are Public Charitable Trust, established for the purpose of rehabilitating the permanently visually impaired persons. The objective of the trust is to ensure that employment opportunities are provided to many visually impaired people. We have various Lions Clubs, Lions Clubs International Foundation and Corporate Houses for the financial support. These clubs played a vital role in establishing the "Lions Academy for the Blind" at Medavakkam near Velachery, Chennai. The visually impaired are working in manufacturing envelopes of various sizes. These envelopes are being marketed by the Lions club association. This enables the visually impaired to have a regular income and to lead dignified life. We have constructed a work spaced building for the manufacturing of envelopes. It is built in half an acre of land donated by a generous person, Mr. Lion Leo Muthu (alias) M.Jothi Prakasam. At present, 39 visually impaired people are manufacturing envelopes with the supervision of few trainers. We are glad to let you know that the donations to the Foundation enjoy exemption u/s. 80 G of the Income tax Act. We also wish to inform you that recognising the services of the Foundation, the Tamil Nadu Government has granted exemption from Sales Tax on all the Purchases and Sales made by us. With the present capacity we are able to manufacture upto 20,000 envelopes per day. There is no constraints with the space or resources for the purchase of additional machinery. We will be able to increase the capacity at short notice depending upon the volume of the orders we receive. We are supplying white envelopes, Kraft envelopes, Window envelopes, Self-Adhesive & cloth lined envelopes.
